But it’s not always easy to achieve our goals because sometimes they seem so far away from where we are now, or even if they’re right there in front of our eyes, they can be hard to reach.

If you don’t have any big dreams or plans for yourself, it can make you feel like you are not striving towards anything.

Set Goals with the SMART Method | One of the main reasons people fail at setting good goals is that their goal isn’t specific enough! I read about this method called “SMART” which stands for: Specific Measurable Attainable Realistic Time-Bound You need all five parts of that acronym – if one part doesn’t fit then you might as well just skip on over to another goal ๐Ÿ™‚

In this article, I am going to talk about some reasons why people fail at setting goals and how you can avoid these mistakes!

1. Setting goals that are too big and not realistic

When you’re setting your goals, it’s important to make sure that they are realistic. For example, if you want to lose 50 pounds in two months, that’s not a realistic goal because it’s not attainable. You’ll most likely end up frustrated and give up because you didn’t reach your goal. Try setting smaller goals instead until you gradually lose the weight and then set another goal!

2. Not setting enough goals

– this leads to feeling overwhelmed, which makes people give up on their goal before they even start!

You should set as many goals as you can, but make sure that they are all achievable and within reach. For example, if your goal is to buy a house in three years AND win the lottery tomorrowโ€ฆ well, we know how this story ends! Just pick one of these big dreams and focus on making it come true. You’ll be so much happier when you figure out which dream is most important to you ๐Ÿ™‚

3. Believing that achieving a goal is all about willpower

– this is not true!

There are so many things that go into achieving a goal, such as planning and taking action. Just because you have the willpower to do something, doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy. For example, I can have the willpower to stay up all night studying for an exam, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy for me! I’m not going to go out and party, which is what my friends might want to do – that’s just how it works.

It’s much easier if you plan everything ahead of time so that way there are no surprises when the time comes around ๐Ÿ™‚

4. Setting goals for other people instead of themselves

When you’re setting goals, it’s important to make sure that they are personal and for you. For example, if your goal is to get a promotion at work so that way you can make more money – this isn’t really a personal goal because it’s not something that only you can control. You need to focus on what YOU want in life, not what somebody else wants for you.

This is a really good way to make sure that your goals are achievable – because they’re personal!

5. Trying to do everything at once without taking care of oneself first

This is another big reason why people fail at reaching their goals. They try to do too many things at once and they don’t take care of themselves first! For example, if you’re trying to diet and work out every day but you’re not getting enough sleep, it’s going to be really hard for you to stick with your routine.

6. Having unrealistic expectations about what can be accomplished in a day or week

This goes back to setting realistic goals. When you’re trying to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time, it’s not going to be easy and you’re probably going to end up frustrated. For example, if your goal is to write a book in one week, that’s not really realistic. You might be able to write a few pages, but you’re not going to be able to write an entire book in that amount of time.

Take your time and set smaller goals so that way you can gradually achieve your larger goal!

It’s important to give yourself some time when you’re trying to achieve your goals. You might not reach them in the first couple of days or even months, but that doesn’t mean they won’t come true! Just keep working towards it and never give up ๐Ÿ™‚

When you’re trying to set goals, it’s important that you give yourself enough time to think about each step. For example, if your goal is to lose 20 pounds in two months but you don’t know how much exercise and healthy food you need for the day – this isn’t really going to be helpful! You’ll end up losing motivation and giving up because it feels too hard.

Another example, if your goal is to save money – you need to have a plan on how much money you want to save each month and what ways you can cut back on expenses.

If you don’t have a plan, it’s going to be really hard for you to reach your goal!

Just take a couple of minutes every day to think about how you’re going to accomplish your goals and that way they’ll be easier ๐Ÿ™‚

which means they never try at all – this is the worst mistake of all!

If you never try at all, then how are you going to accomplish your goals? You need to have a positive attitude towards goal-setting so that way it doesn’t seem like such an impossible thing. When you’re trying hard and giving everything your best shot – anything can happen ๐Ÿ™‚

As long as you keep trying your best, I know that you’ll be able to reach all of your goals!

We know with Covid, this is likely to be difficult to achieve.

The internet is an amazing resource for information and entertainment, but it comes with its own set of distractions. With so many things vying for our attention online, staying focused on work or school projects often becomes difficult. However, there are some simple steps that you can take to help combat the constant distractions that come from being connected to the world 24/7.

The following are 10 tips that will help you stay focused, productive and reach your goals:

1. Turn off notifications on your phone and computer.

2. Avoid using social media for a set amount of time each day

3. Have a designated workspace that is not cluttered with other items

4. Shut down your computer when you’re done working

An obstacle is something that gets in the way of something else. Obstacles can be physical like a roadblock, but they also come from unforeseen events or circumstances for example; an argument with your partner which causes tension between you both at home and work hours leading up to it happening again later on when not watched closely enough by either party. Perception is important because it affects how you think and behave. Perception can change your mindset, goals, or any other part of life that may need to adapt in order for the obstacle not to be detrimental on a day-to-day basis.

A number of people think that obstacle is something negative or difficult, but it’s actually an opportunity for growth. Perhaps you’ve had your fair share at this point on the journey through life without obstacles?

Might as well stop complaining about how tough things can be sometimes – instead let us look up to find out what kind of blessings await!

Overcoming obstacles is not an easy thing to do. It takes a lot of work and determination, but it can be done with the right mindset and goals in mind. Perception is also important when working on overcoming obstacles – you need to see yourself as someone who will persevere through any challenge that comes your way if you want to succeed.

If you believe that something will happen or fail before it occurs, then there’s a good chance it will because your mindset has dictated what may occur. This doesn’t mean that you can’t change your mind and choose a different path. Perception is something we have control over, so if you want to feel differently about certain goals or obstacles in life, then the best thing you can do is learn how to shift your perception. Perception isn’t easy to change right away because there are other factors involved like mindset and past experiences, but there are a few things you can do to make changes.

– Perception is something that can be changed through past experiences and focusing on the positive instead of the negative.

– Perception can change by taking time to think about what you want out of life and finding a common goal with other people.

– Perception helps determine how we feel so if we change our mindset, then we will also begin to see obstacles differently.

– Perception is influenced by how we see ourselves, so if you want to change your perception about an obstacle then the best thing to do is work on self-esteem.

– Perception is so important! Perception of your obstacles shapes how you view them. If you have a negative perception, it can lead to decreased motivation and increased anxiety. Change the way that you look at things by changing your thoughts or actions about what’s in front of you.

-“I’m not good enough” versus “the only person who is preventing me from being great is myself.” Which one sounds better? Put yourself on an individual track towards achievement rather than self-doubt.

-“It takes too long” versus “it will be worth it if I keep going”. Having positive reinforcement for our efforts can help us achieve our goals more effectively because we are able to see ourselves making progress every day instead of focusing solely on the end goal.

-“It’s too hard” versus “I can do anything for ten minutes”. How you talk to yourself matters! If you are able to shift your focus on small goals that allow you to feel accomplished, then reaching larger goals will be easier because it won’t seem as daunting anymore.

The best way to deal with an obstacle is by altering your perception of it. If you change how you see something, then the action you take will be different as well. Perception can make or break a situation because if we are looking at things in one light but happen to shift our perspective slightly, suddenly everything changes! Perception has helped me overcome obstacles time after time and I have seen its power firsthand.

2.) Mindset

Something that helps me keep positive during tough times is my mindset concerning every situation. My mindset determines whether or not I stay strong through challenging moments or become distracted easily. The first step toward overcoming any obstacle begins with believing on some level that there really is an opportunity for success somewhere even sometimes it isnโ€™t visible immediately. This mindset has helped me overcome many obstacles and I recommend that you try it as well!

3.) Goals

Another strategy for overcoming obstacles is to set goals. When you set a clear goal it can keep you motivated and focused on moving forward even when the going gets tough. I always find that as soon as my mind wanders off into doubt or fear, setting a specific goal reminds me of what I am working toward. For example, if your desire is to lose weight by running every morning before work, then getting out of bed early will become easier because thereโ€™s something at stake! The best way to accomplish anything in life starts with knowing exactly where we want to go from the beginning all the way until our journey ends.

Let’s look at some other strategies which will help with overcoming obstacles:

EI is the ability to perceive, control and evaluate one’s own emotions. This isn’t just beneficial when experiencing obstacles but also in our everyday lives so we can better understand ourselves and others which will lead to more positive relationships with people for example; an argument where one party says something they normally wouldn’t say leading up to a disagreement which was worse than normal. Knowing why you are doing what you are doing is important for many reasons. It will help you stay focused on the task at hand and not get distracted with other, less important things that come up. It also helps when it comes to making tough decisions or solving problems. If we don’t have a clear idea of our motivation, then we may make bad decisions without even realising it!

I am writing this blog post to help people know why they are doing what they are doing. It is important for everyone to know why they’re doing something because it gives them a sense of purpose and meaning. Knowing why you’re doing what you’re doing helps with motivation, which in turn will make the task easier. 

Knowing your “why” can also help you avoid being distracted by all the other things that might be going on in your life or work. The “whys” we have don’t change easily so if yours doesn’t seem very motivating, then try finding one that does motivate you more! When we have more specific actions planned for both near-future milestones as well as ultimate destination points in mind, then every decision seems to fit together perfectly.

-You’re more likely to stay focused on the task at hand and not get distracted with other things (less important things, that come up) if you take a moment to know why you are doing it.

Why do we want to stay focused on the task at hand and not get distracted with other things? That’s a good question. From your own perspective, why is this important for you? If that answer doesn’t provide enough clarity then think about what it means from another person or group of people who relies heavily upon you being able to accomplish something certain in order for them too have some level of success.

One way I like doing this personally is by writing down three reasons why I am going through my inbox so quickly instead of lingering over every message before deciding whether or not there are actions required (and if they’re worth taking).

One of the most effective ways to stay focused on any task is by taking a moment and understanding why you’re doing it. When we have a solid answer for this question, there’s no way that distractions can compete with our desire to succeed in what matters most.

Sometimes when I find myself slipping off track from my main objective at hand it helps me out tremendously if I just take time out to think about why exactly am I currently working so hard? The instant gratification or reward may not always be present but focusing back into the work gives us much-needed clarity and motivation which ultimately leads us down paths where success has been more prevalent than anywhere else before.

When you have a clear understanding of what truly drives and motivates, the next step is to make sure that those things are also motivating for others around us who were involved in our decisions as well. This will help both groups move forward with their shared vision clearly defined by mutual goals and values instead of constantly re-evaluating them on an ongoing basis because we’re not aligned from the start.

Seriously, understanding why someone does what they do will automatically give you more insight into who that person is and how to relate with them better! It helps people engage, relate and work with you better. They can help you achieve your personal goal/objective and life purpose, and work out where they can be of greater help.

When it comes to getting support, we often jump into conclusion without thinking about what is really going on. It might seem like you are not receiving the appropriate amount of assistance from others around you but in reality they just don’t know your “why.” To get people behind us and help us out with our goals, instead of asking for too much or assuming that we need more than enough from them, talk to those who love and care about you- especially when things feel tough- so that they can give their time/effort towards helping make a difference!

What goes around comes around so being mindful about thinking through motivations behind every little thing that we do could go a long way for us.
